Goodreads Synopsis:

Mara Dyer doesn't think life can get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there.

It can.

She believes there must be more to the accident she can't remember that killed her friends and left her mysteriously unharmed.

There is.

She doesn't believe that after everything she's been through, she can fall in love.

She's wrong. -Goodreads-

My Thoughts:

If you want a book that keeps you on your toes, and keeps you going in about one hundred different directions....this book is for you!  I don't even know where to begin telling you about this book.  How about I start by telling you that I love this book just as much as I love Wither!!!! I seriously can't wait until the next book comes out. *FALL 2012*!!!! I will be in line the day it comes out!!!

You meet this girl who really doesn't remember a couple days of her life.  All she knows is that she was with her best friends when they died.  THAT IS IT!!! I mean come one how great is that!!  I couldn't believe it.  But any who, her family moves to another state and she has to start all over...and there she meets Noah. Noah really helps her find out why she is here and what she needs in her life.  But there are always secrets, and there will always be secrets.  Secrets make the world go around!

Mara Dyer is bad ass.  She is probably one of the best characters I have ever read about in my life.  She doesn't put up with anything that she doesn't like.  She is what every 17 year old girl should be.  But she has one fear, she doesn't know what she is capable of doing.

I think it is funny that readers always want the lead male character.  Well in this book Noah, the lead male, is the bad boy that everyone wants but he doesn't want them.  See I have my Noah.  Noah reminds me a lot of my husband.  I think that is why I loved this character so much.  They both have the same sense of humor and they are both sarcastic. Ever scene with Noah in it reminded me of a memory of Seth and I.  I found this really odd because this never has happened to me before.

Oh Michelle Hodkin....you have really out done yourself.  This has to be one of the best books I have read all year so far!!  You are an amazing author!  The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer is everything that I would want in a book and more.  I think this should be on every person's must read list!

My Rating:

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars....like it deserves!!!!

:)

  1. LOOOVE this book! ...and Noah :-) The writing is great and despite the dark tone of the story, I found myself laughing often. Mara is definitely one heck of a character. Glad you enjoyed it!
