Matched

Matched
By: Ally Condie
Publisher: Speak
Pages: 366
Source: Bought the book for review

Goodreads Synopsis:

Cassia has always trusted the Society to make the right choices for her: what to read, what to watch, what to believe. So when Xander's face appears on-screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is her ideal mate . . . until she sees Ky Markham's face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black.

The Society tells her it's a glitch, a rare malfunction, and that she should focus on the happy life she's destined to lead with Xander. But Cassia can't stop thinking about Ky, and as they slowly fall in love, Cassia begins to doubt the Society's infallibility and is faced with an impossible choice: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she's known and a path that no one else has dared to follow. -Goodreads-

My Thoughts:

First off, I want to tell all of you how big of a sucker I am for dystopian novels...I LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!! So if you have any suggestions of dystopian novels that you think that I would really like to read send them to me...I mean let me know ;).  Any who this books was blow your socks amazing.  This one took me a little longer to get through then the others...but I had a lot going on, so don't judge me... :)

You meet Cassia. She lives in a world where they control everything. What you eat, how much you run, what you do during the day, and who you are "matched" with.  She gets matched with her childhood best friend, which hardly ever happens.  Citizens are usually matched with other citizens from different cities.  But with this she finds out there is a lot more to her match then she knows.

This book was defiantly one of the best reads that I have read in a  long time.  I think that everyone should read this book.  There is love, swoon, heartache, fear, and excitement all wrapped up in one.  Again one of the best books have read so far.

My Rating:

I am giving this book 5 out 5 stars.  I really can not wait to get the second book when it comes out and just devour it.

  1. Really want to read this. Have you read The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood? A Gift Upon the Shore by M.K. Wren is also really good.
