The Mansion on top of Benson Hill has stood empty for years. Bit one day it seems to be occupied, and it mysterious, handsome inhabitant Alexander Sterling becomes the source of much talk around town.  Raven, a vampire-obsessed Goth-girl who has always considered herself an outsider in “Dullsville” is determined to uncover the truth surrounding the secretive Alexander.  As she gets to know him, and their spark intensifies, Raven finds herself in some unanticipated situations.  Can Alexander make her lifelong dream come true? But love always has its complications-especially when it can only be awakened at nightfall.

This is a collection book of the first three books in the series.  I am almost positive that there are now eight books in the series.  I just recently went to a book signing in Lansing Michigan and Ellen Schreiber was there!  She was amazing, fun-loving, and all in all a great person.  I went into the signing only reading book one and most of book two.  I was hoping that she was not going to give much away and she didn’t.  In this book you meet Raven.  She is a very Goth girl living in a very non Goth town.  Her parents are part of the local country club and they play tennis….a lot.  She likes to be different.  She tries so hard just to live her life the way she wants.
Well in the book you find out that Raven meets this boy who is thinks is a vampire…well more like she hopes she is a vampire.  But she is also very in love with him.  They go through many ups and downs in a relationship.     In the First book of the series, Vampire Kisses, you basically just find out who Raven is and what is into.  She meets the mysterious Alexander.  He is the boy next door that not everyone wants next door.  But Raven wants him next door.  She would probably prefer him in her room but oh well.  J
In the second book Alexander leaves Raven and she has to go and find him.  She decides to look in the town not too far away called Hipsterville.  Her aunt lives there so she decides to go there for spring break to visit and hang out.   But while she is there she not only finds out that this is where Alexander is but also where another vampire is living.  His name is Jagger, and he wants to get back at Alexander for not being truthful.
In the third and last book in this book you find out that not only is Jagger there to make Alexander and Raven’s lives miserable but she has a twin sister named Luna.  She you find out that Alexander and Jagger were born vampires.  Meaning their parents were vampires and they had baby vampires.  And Luna was born a human.  And all she wants is to be a Vampire and she will stop at nothing to become a vampire.
I really liked these books.  I thought they were well written and well put together.  Ellen is a great author and I really can’t wait to get my hands on the other books of the series.

Enjoy J
