Goodreads synopsis
the cold.
Grace has spent years watching the wolves in the woods behind her house. One yellow-eyed wolf—her wolf—watches back. He feels deeply familiar to her, but she doesn't know why.

the heat.
Sam has lived two lives. As a wolf, he keeps the silent company of the girl he loves. And then, for a short time each year, he is human, never daring to talk to Grace...until now.

the shiver.
For Grace and Sam, love has always been kept at a distance. But once it's spoken, it cannot be denied. Sam must fight to stay human—and Grace must fight to keep him—even if it means taking on the scars of the past, the fragility of the present, and the impossibility of the future.

My Thoughts:
So I am not going to lie....it took me forever to get through this book.  Last week I had family in town, so not much reading was done.  And this week so far has been really crazy with work.  But I came home today and sat on my balcony and read until the bugs weren't hungry anymore and I was finished with the book.

The book started off so well.  I wanted Sam to tell Grace that he loved her right off the bat  ( that didn't happen),  I didn't want them to  run into any trouble (that didn't happen), and I wanted everything to work our between them (that sorta happens).  About half way through the book I was really wanting some action.  I felt the book lacked that but was great everywhere else.  And then the end hit! Oh my God the end.  I did not see that coming at all.  Everything from Jack kidnapping Grace to Sam changing for good in front of Grace. I didn't know how to accept what was going on.  I cried when Jack died. And I automatically assumed that if Jack died Sam for sure was gone.  Then Grace sees him!  AND HE IS HUMAN.

I really want to pick of Linger and read it to see what happens between Grace and Sam, but it will have to wait...hopefully not long :)

My rating

I am giving the book 4 out of 5.  I really liked everything about it.  I would defiantly recommend this book to anyone that wants a easy read.
