Review: Epic Force

Epic Force
By: Alexi Raymond
Release Date: October 4, 2012
Source: Kindle Store

Goodreads Synopsis:

Trinity has given up everything to reach her dreams as a professional wrestler in the national spotlight; even though it's breaking her heart to stay away from her trainer, Derek.

Derek knows the road Trinity is walking and wants to be there for her to see her succeed, but he wants so much more than that for them.

After having a wrestler break her heart once, Trinity isn't willing to jump back into another wrestling-relationship. That doesn't stop her heart from pounding at the sight of Derek or her hands from trembling with their touch.

Convinced she has to focus on her dreams, Trinity leaves the safety of home and wrestling federation,(Epic Force Wrestling), and heads out for the chance of a lifetime. The things she sees don't make her more sure of her goals, but they do make her sure of something else - she can't outrun her old wrestling school or the trainer that holds her heart in his hands.

Sometimes true love is an epic force all its own. -Goodreads-

My thoughts:

I remember the first text I got about this book, and how I should read it. How this book was like nothing that I have ever read before, and boy was it.  I am so glad I took the time to read it.  I am new to reading romance novels, so when the sex scenes came I didn't know what to expect.  But I will get to that...

The book is about a girl that wants to become a professional wrestler.  She would do anything to become one and that is exactly what she is doing. She has this pretty awesome roommate that reminds me a little of myself.... :)  She runs into some hiccups along the way but she comes out on top.

The whole story was written very well.  I was very surprised on how well it was written, it is not like I thought the book was going to bad.  I just thought that is was also going to have some hiccups because it was written by a debut author, but boy was I wrong.  I would recommend this book to anyone.  The only thing I can complain about it that for someone that is not used to romance novels, and kind of knows the back story to the story, there was a lot of romance that went on.  I know what you are thinking.....Laci you read a romance novel.... Yes yes I know, but I just wasn't used to it.   I am not saying that the book was bad, I am saying that it was a shock to me.

My rating:

I am giving this book a 4 out 5 stars. I really liked it.  It had everything a good book needs.  I could have done without the sex scenes, but that is just my personal preference.  I think that those scenes made the book what it is.

Epic Force Blog Tour!!

I am so excited to be apart of the Epic Force Blog Tour!!!  Please if you haven't done so already, take the time and read this book. You won't be disappointed!!!  You can read my review and you will understand!!!

When I was approached to be in the blog tour there was no question about it.  :) And I knew exactly who I wanted to interview....DAVE!!!! He really made the book what it was....LOL

Who is the Dave we should know?

How many Dave's do you know? EH - Doesn't matter. Once you've met me, I'm the ONLY Dave that matters. But you knew that. *winks*

Good point...
What are somethings you are trying to accomplish in wrestling?

Well, the goal is always the same for us wrestlers. Money. Women. Money. More Women. Partys. With women. You know, the usual stuff!

What are something you change about yourself?

What is there to change?! *looks over self* It's been working out pretty good so far, I think I'll keep me the way I am!

When and where is your next show?

Ah, ah, ah, little lady. YOU are married. I know this and will not be wrangled into your shenanagins! Anyway, I think Notre Dame has a game to lose the day of my next show, you wouldn't want to miss that would you?!

And last question, every women is dying to know.... Boxers or briefs?

COMMANDO.

Hey, I have something else to say. I hope that's ok, if it's not...well, I've already started talking sooo... But thanks for the interview. I mean, Derek is a good guy - one of my best friends - and Trinity is man, she's the most beautiful of all my brothers. And I know they had a rough start and everyone's real wrapped up in them but YOU chose to talk to me. And I appreciate that. It's pretty cool that someone who doesn't wrestle would be so interested in what I'm interested in, you know? Anyway. It's getting pretty cold over here in the midwest and well, question numero five kind of gives it away, but really - thanks for hanging out with me, we'll have to do it again sometime!

Anytime....believe me anytime....

Well there you have it.  I had so much fun and I think you know why I picked the best character in the book!!!! :)

Thanks for stopping by, until next time followers....

oh yeah one more thing....:)
